About us
Mechanics for electronics - since more than 25 years we stand for automatic machines making contact pins from drawn wire. Easy, robust and in quality craftsmanship.
Saving space, energy and capital, the "WireContact" concept is particularly suitable where the product requires an alternative to the use of large and expensive systems. In many cases, the use of pre-plated wires can avoid galvanic treatment of the manufactured pins.
Our mechanical process for forming the tips produces a properly shaped square tip with chamfered edges, especially in the case of square pins. This means no burr on the insertion surface and no loss of plating.
Round and square wires, mainly of copper alloys, get contact tips and embossing on the "WireContact I" system, using our tools. After the singling process, the pins are further processed as bulk material. Alternatively, the pins can be fed end-to-end directly to an assembly line or wound on reels with the layer winder "AWE 1".
The "WireContact II" system, after the singling process, additionally mounts the finished contact pin on a carrier strip, which is wound on rolls with the "AWE 2" strip winder. A paper strip as an intermediate layer ensures even winding tension and accurate plies.
To allow the use of bigger wire spools than the standard D300 with approx. 12 kg wire, we offer the motorized dereeler "DAE 1" for spools up to 710mm diameter and 150 kg wire.
Tools and additional equipment for special applications are also available, such as bending the pins on the carrier strip, separating round or square pins.
